The Area
Without in any way being disturbed by their traffic, all three properties lie close to main trunk roads (the A7 and A68 respectively) and are thus well-linked to both Edinburgh and Newcastle airports, while the main East Coast Railway is 35 miles away in the coastal town of Berwick-on-Tweed. In a beautiful setting with extensive riverside walks, Jedburgh also boasts a splendid 12th-century Abbey (among the managerial triumphs of Scottish Heritage), one of the most fascinating gaols in Britain, and colourful renovated buildings in the Market place and on Canongate. A clutch of other Border towns - Kelso, Galashiels and Melrose - are only a few miles away and the entire area is served by excellent restaurants, pubs, craftshops and other leisure facilities, particularly for golfers, riders, walkers and fishermen.
Also close by are the stunning Border towns of Melrose and Kelso. Well situated with road links to both major airports at Edinburgh and Newcastle, the main east coast railway line is 35 miles away in Berwick Upon Tweed.
